Northwest Forest Pass required to park.
Driving directions: From Seattle head east on I-90. Take exit 42 (West Tinkham Road). Turn right from the off-ramp and continue past the Department of Transportation office. The parking lot and trailhead are just past the office driveway on the right (southwest) side of the road.
Additional notes: Standard route from the official trailhead. Alternatively access 600' higher and 3 miles r/t shorter from the trail's intersection with FS Road 9020.
